급변하는 현대사회 안에서 예술은 많은 변화가 있었으나 인간의 풍요로운 삶을 일궈나갈 수 있도록 하는 마음의 안식처인 것은 부정할 수 없는 사실입니다. 예술이 보다 우리의 일상 안으로 가까이 들어올 수 있도록 하겠다는 신념에서 시작된 갤러리 도올은 그동안 신진작가의 발굴과 중진작가의 재조명을 통해 해마다 10회 이상의 기획전을 통해 국내 미술계의 흐름을 파악할 수 있는 계기를 마련해 왔습니다.

개인화랑으로는 최초로 북한작품을 소개하여 ‘월북작가전’을 개최하였으며 미술작품의 저변확대를 위한 ‘현대판화의 조명전’을 시작으로 유화, 판화, 영상 설치 등 다양한 기획전을 선보여 왔으며 앞으로도 국내미술계의 기반구축을 위한 노력은 계속 될 것입니다.

생활속의 고급문화 접목을 위한 유명인사 흉상건립과 아트컨설팅을 통해 예술문화가 생활속에 연결되어 아름다운 문화공간으로 만들어 질 수 있는 노력을 계속 할 것입니다.

갤러리 도올은 21세기가 요구하는 새로운 문화공간으로 거듭날 것을 약속드리며 관람객들이 즐겨 찾는 화랑이 되도록 노력하겠습니다. 많은 성원과 관심 부탁드립니다.

While the art has changed enormously in modern society, it is still undeniable fact that art is the rest for the descend lives of humanbeings.
The gallery doll started with belief of contribution for daily life with art through over ten exhibitions a year of discovering young artists and refocusing current artists. to provide the chance of seeing movements to audiances.

It was the first time to private gallery to let the spectators encounter the artist who crossed over into North Korea after Korean War 'artist from North Korea' and 'Illumination of modern evgraving' which was for easier access to the art for more people, also exhibitions from oil painting, printing to visual art for various demands.

Also we have been contributing expansion of art life through the several services such as setting up the bust of the famous, consulting for the corporation about art.
Gallery Doll is trying to satisfy the demands of the time for the spectators and reviewers all the time.
